Montago does not collect or store credit card details. Payments are made by direct bank transfer unless another payment method is agreed with you in advance.

We collect and use personal information to respond to enquiries, understand your travel interests, assess whether a journey is suitable, process reservations and bookings, issue invoices, reconcile direct bank transfer payments, communicate pre-trip details, coordinate travel suppliers, manage dietary, accessibility, health, safety and emergency requirements, provide guest support, send marketing emails where you have agreed to receive them, improve our website and journeys, and meet legal, tax, accounting, insurance, health and safety, and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
4. Optional Information
Some information is optional. However, if you choose not to provide travel, booking, dietary, accessibility, emergency contact or relevant health information, we may be unable to assess suitability, confirm a booking, cater for your needs, or deliver the journey safely and appropriately.
If you choose not to receive marketing emails, we simply will not add you to our mailing list.
5. Travel Companion Details
If you provide personal information about another person, for example a partner, spouse, friend or travel companion, please make sure you have their permission and that they understand how Montago will use their information.

We aim to share only the information reasonably needed for that purpose.

Montago is based in New Zealand, but some of our guests, suppliers and service providers may be overseas. We may also use cloud, email, CRM, website, analytics or administration tools that store or process information outside New Zealand.
Where we disclose personal information outside New Zealand, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate privacy safeguards are in place, or otherwise handle the disclosure in line with New Zealand privacy law.
